Donatella Versace welcomed guests to the newly opened Palazzo Versace Macau with a Grand Opening event that celebrated the luxury hotel’s unique blend of iconic Versace design with the traditions of Macau.

Welcoming guests to the opening event was a golden dragon sculpture perched on top of Romanesque columns surrounding the mosaic-embellished outdoor pool, as a nod to the Year of the Dragon. A glass catwalk was installed over the pool, which provided a unique spot to take photos. At the Jardim Secreto, harpist Dan Yu, accompanied by a quintet of musicians from the Macau Orchestra, greeted guests with thrilling performances. As the evening went on, guests were led to The Grand Pavilion for Versace Signatures. The space set the stage for an inspiring exhibition showcasing the house’s iconic designs, from emblematic prêt-à-porter pieces to those from Atelier Versace.

Of course, no celebration would be complete without great food, and the hotel’s grand unveiling saw a lavish banquet dinner where Chinese cuisine stole the spotlight. While indulging in the delicacies, guests were entertained by a drum performance by talented Macanese musicians. The cherry on top, however, was a surprise performance by Grammy Awards-winning singer-songwriter John Legend.
